World Series of Poker Expanding into Australia

The World Series of Poker is coming to Australia in 2013. The WSOP Asia-Pacific will debut in Melbourne, Australia next April. Many of the top poker pros in the world will be looking to win one of the five bracelets that will be awarded in the first-ever WSOP APAC. The Crown Casino in Melbourne, Australia will be the home of the 2013 WSOP Asia-Pacific. The tournament will begin in April 4th next year and run through April 15th. "Our goal is to establish the worldwide grand slam of poker and use our platform to elevate the game through a series of major championships," WSOP executive director Ty Stewart said. The Crown Casino in Melbourne has the largest poker room in the world outside of North America and is the home to the Aussie Millions each year.
